DESFONTAINIA
Diagnosis; non-ordinary reality; exploration; stability; removal of fears and blocks.
Clearing vision to reveal what is going on.
You need to see beyond what scares you.
Go beyond ordinary fear to reach un-ordinary clarity.
Fear of the unknown is fear of life and the process of growth. You cannot stay the same and be happy.
Look beyond the immediate discomfort to what may be gained.
If you cannot get beyond your anxieties and fears then ask someone who can help you find what you need.
Bitter then sweet,
Darkness then dawn.
Giving up too soon:
Perhaps the sun will never rise?
Skill: Persistence
Failing: Panic
Lesson: Foresight
Deep in the mountain valleys the shadows keep the sun from rising for many hours – an issue of positioning, an issue of patience.
Determine what is
By seeing what
Cannot be seen.
Exploring
Beyond the known:
Unfamiliar paths
To the faint-hearted.
Desfontainia resembles holly, though with more angular branches. It produces long, thick, waxy flowers of red with yellow tips. It is native to the Andes and other highland areas of South America. Leaves and fruit are reportedly used to make a tea for shamanic journeying and for diagnosing disease states. Nothing is known of its effects or constituents.
