The bowl is decorated with a variety of useful designs:
A row of Old English runes, of 32 characters run around the inner rim. These can be used for assessment work by running a fingertip across them to find the 'active' rune energies.
The inner central design brings in healing and balancing energy. This can also be used to represent the body/energy bodies of the person being worked on. Intuition and body mind will identify by feel the most significant points on and around the body to place the bifrost woods to restore balance and harmony.
On the outside of the bowl:
The tree designs and spiral patterns can also be used an intuitive way to determine rune energies, using their placement in the rune row (ie. by number).
A selection of the eleven runes can be used as identification keys to each of the Bifrost pebbles. These can be used to identify which bifrost energies are needed for any situation, using a fingertip to lightly scan over each. (The required bifrost keys will feel different in some way).
There is a quote from the Welsh bard, Taliesin, taken from 'Kat Godau', the enigmatic "Battle of the Trees":
TRWY IEITH AC ELUYD RITHWCH RIEDAWC WYD,
GANTAW YN LLUYD..
which can be translated as:
'By means of language and of earth, fashion majestic trees, a hundred forces into a host.."
The empty bowl can be used as a focus for meditation or for distant healing work. ( for example, one or two of the most appropriate bifrost woods can be placed in the bowl together with a witness of the individual asking for healing and balancing work.
There are eleven woods used, one for each bifrost talisman.
red energy
orange energy
white energy
green energy
pink energy
yellow energy
magenta energy
blue energy
indigo energy
violet energy
ultra-violet energy
Each wood combines the inherent energy of the tree with a particular combination of universal energies, represented by the specific shapes of the runes.
In this set, the flat side usually carries the bifrost bind rune. This means it can be placed flat on or around the body in a healing session.
The remaining surfaces carry the symbols and spells of the tree the wood belongs to.
Thus, the balance and healing comes from both the rune energies combined in the bind rune, and from the spirits of the woods used to carry and hold that rune energy.
Each wood bifrost encapsulates the energy of a colour. The bind runes harmonise and amplify the properties of each rune, creating a multi-level, powerful tool for transformation.
The wood bifrosts can be carried or placed on the body, charge water or other materials, be a focus for meditation or magical operations.
