JUDAS TREE (Cercis siliquastrum)

Judas tree is native to dry, rocky places in western Asia and southeastern Europe. The name probably derives from "Judaea Tree” in which area it is particularly frequent. Judas tree is a small, broad, spreading tree up to 33 ft. (10m). The leaves are kidney-shaped and before they fully emerge the flowers appear towards the end of May. The flowers are bright magenta-pink and grow singly and in bunches straight from the bark of twigs and trunk. It only really flourishes in the warmer parts of Britain, in sheltered spots.
As an essence Judas tree enables completely original thought, as if springing from nowhere. The seeds of new ideas arise from the deepest levels of the mind, where all available information has been stored and explored.
There is an openness and willingness to listen to one’s own feelings. This can break patterns of repeating behaviour to do with past regrets enabling a new view of life. The Lung meridian is strengthened.
Communication and expression of personal opinion can be more direct, forceful and of a more practical nature. Nonetheless the essence also calms and soothes turbulent, passionate and angry states and enables rational, cool consideration of any situation involving the emotions. Throat chakra blocks are helped to clear in this way.
The development of channelling abilities is enhanced, together with the discrimination to discern the truthfulness within such thoughts.
