PEAR (Pyrus communis)
Key: Serenity
The native pear, Pyrus cordata, is extremely rare existing only around the area of Plymouth, Devon, where it was identified as a separate species at the end of the last century. The common pear is most probably a naturalised tree originating from hybrids in southern Europe. It is often planted in gardens and parks as well as farmland and orchards. In winter pear is a dark, tall and sparsely branched tree resembling thorn in many ways. In April pear produces white flowers as the leaves emerge. Wild varieties sucker freely and produce small, very gritty fruit. Like apple it can be frequently found along roadsides and footpaths. The tree can reach 50 ft. (15m).
Pear calms fears and brings clarity of mind, increasing the sense of peace and joy. It will help to clear and re-energise the nervous system after it has been blocked by the effects of past-life experiences or powerful belief systems. This encourages a sense of ease and relaxation throughout the nervous system, releasing physical tensions.
The Gall Bladder meridian is cleansed which increases the sense of serenity and happiness. There is a clarity, simplicity, confidence and inner calm: happy to be who one is.
The solar plexus chakra is involved increasing enthusiasm, activation and motivation for physical activity.
At its finest level pear brings a deep peace, an unimpeded flow of communication, a frictionless flow
