"Bay Tree: Spirit of Energy"
The Bay, Sweet Bay or Bay Laurel (Laurus nobilis) is a familiar tree, native to the Mediteranean area. Its aromatic leaves are used to flavour food. There is a high content of powerful volatile oils that have long been thought to protect from negative influences. The fiery nature of the tree aligned it to the Sun God, Helios, and was used to make the wreaths of triumphant victors. Bay is a digestive and antiseptic. It carries within itself the undying heat of the sun and so encourages deep-rooted vitality and the release of static and cold conditions. all parts of the tree are aromatic making it a lovely wood to work with.
