YARROW
Great plans will founder without attention to the underlying condition of things.
Purification is necessary to leave states of confusion, at any level, physical, emotional, mental or spiritual.
Simple, undramatic attention to basics lays the foundation for all other states of health and awareness.
Having a physical form demands that we look after its every state, as all else rests upon it.
Address what constitutes your life, your nutrition, your food.
Healing the hidden (as well as the obvious).
Skill: Modesty
Failing: Dissipation
Lesson: Maintenance
The unseen
Supports
The seen.
The wisest oracle
Uses simple sticks.
The wisest healer
Uses wayside plants.
The support of warriors
Happy beneath your feet,
Knowing its own virtues,
Its own power.
Yarrow: A common, mat-forming perennial of the northern hemisphere, Yarrow (Achillea millefolium, milfoil, soldier’s woundwort), has tough stems and feathery leaves, and bears umbels of grey-white, pink or yellow flowers. It is very variable in appearance and constituents. It is a blood purifier, useful in fevers and infections including colds and flu, aids digestion, as well as being an effective wound healer. The correct dosage is important as excess causes vomiting, vertigo, etc. Yarrow is not a psychotropic plant, but one that is a powerful healer with traditions of being used for healing and divination worldwide. Magical because of its simple effectiveness on the blood and, through that, to all the cells of the body.
Magically and energetically, yarrow is a protector of the aura against harmful environmental influences.
